Number of N.C. Homeschools continues to rise

Marnie Densmore, a tutor with Classical Conversations, shows students in the South Durham Tuesday community some Garfield cartoons during the fine arts part of the morning. Classical Conversations is a nationwide homeschool group and material provider focused on classical education. Alicia Clark, director of the South Durham Tuesday community, said the students focus on different types of arts during the year: drawing, music theory, tin whistle, great artists and their techniques, and great composers and the orchestra.
