When a 100-year tradition is threatened by difficult travel and country borders, a documentary filmmaker and avid UNC fan executes a plan that unites cultures and carries a piece of home 4,000 miles away. Stasia Droze, alongside her crew, is producing a documentary, “More Than a Mascot,” about UNC’s infamous live ram mascot, Ramses. The crew follows the Hogan Family, Chapel Hill residents who have raised and provided live rams for the University for 102 years. With the desire to continue tradition and visit Ireland for the UNC Football Game, Stasia reaches out to an Irish sheep farmer, who also happens to be a Hogan, Orla, for help. Their collaboration continues a 102-year tradition and brings a piece of Chapel Hill to Dublin, Ireland.
