Ernie Frankel has been a storyteller since his school days at UNC Chapel Hill. After serving in the Marines during WWII, he moved out west to Los Angeles and began his career as a screenwriter and producer in Hollywood. He made his name in writing legal and crime dramas such as Perry Mason and Mod Squad.
My husband was a good friend of his. My husband was the director of Kukla Fran and Ollie. Ernie did wonderful work in television. His recent book is “Gateway to Everywhere”
