The University of North Carolina was forced to set social media guidelines for its student-athletes after an embarrassing tweet in 2010. The tweet, from then football player Marvin Austin, led to an NCAA investigation into improper benefits at UNC. Alexis Amato, a former rower, knows the system firsthand.
